Taco Soup Recipe

1 lb ground beef or turkey 1 onion, diced 1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes 1 (15 oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained 1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained

1 (15 oz) can corn, drained 1 (1 oz) packet taco seasoning 1 (32 oz) container chicken broth Shredded cheese, sour cream, tortilla chips for topping

In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Add the onions and cook for another 3-4 minutes until translucent.

Add the diced tomatoes, black beans, pinto beans, corn and taco seasoning. Stir to combine.

Pour in the chicken broth and bring the soup to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Serve the taco soup warm topped with shredded cheese, sour cream and crushed tortilla chips.
